Founded in 1884, Wilson Farms includes a timber barn sitting amongst 33 acres of growing fields as well as a 37,000-square-foot greenhouse. Two farmers from Ireland, James Wilson and his brother-in-law George Reynolds, farmed 16 acres in Lexington, Mass. and loading their horse drawn wagon, transported their vegetables to Quincy Market in Boston. All five of the first vegetables grown at the farm are still being harvested. The company is now open year-round, and is a twice 'Best of Boston' winner. Wilson Farms provides produce, house bread, sweets, freshly prepared take home meals, its own hen house as well as eggs, meats, dairy and cheeses from around the globe. The farm also offers fragrant cut flowers and a selection of lush garden and indoor plants. Wilson Farms is still family-owned and headquartered in Lexington, Mass.
