The Westford Public Schools Department oversees more than 5,000 students who attend six elementary schools, two middle schools, and a high school. There's also an integrated preschool. The department's administration is headquartered on Depot Street. The superintendent is Everett Olsen. The department's mission statment reads: "The school system will engage its students in a challenging learning environment to prepare them for the political, economic, social, and technological challenges of a rapidly changing world. It will develop in its students the skills and attitudes that will enable them to be lifelong learners, to exercise sound judgment and to become responsible, contributing members of society."
