Westfield State College is a four-year, coeducational, public college that offers a range of certificate and degree programs. It has various clubs and organizations, such as accounting club, commuter council, economic society, gay straight alliance, general science club and musical theater guild. The college organizes a range of campus activities and events that include comedy nights, hypnotists and local band performances. It offers bachelor degree programs in liberal studies, political science, psychology, social work, sociology, business management and computer science. The college also offers courses in computer information systems, criminal justice, environmental science, regional planning, movement science and special education. Westfield State College, founded in 1839, is located in Westfield, Mass.
