Near the center of the village of West Newton sits a small recreation area known as the West Newton Playground. This modest space is a spot for young children to play on the jungle gym and swings while others pass soccer balls or play baseball on the adjacent fields. The playground includes areas for parents to sit and relax while their children play.
The West Newton Playground is just a two-minute walk from the West Newton MBTA Commuter Rail station (purple line, Framingham/Worcester line). Even closer is the #170, #553 and #554 MBTA bus stop, which is located at the intersection of Elm Street and Webster Street.
