History
From a single storefront to a growing multi-service provider, Wellspring has remained steadfast through the years answering the call to those in need. The late Reverend Diane Edson opened Wellspring in a single Hull storefront in February of 1985 after recognizing that there were many people in need of assistance on Boston's South Shore. Over the years, the original rented storefront that provided warm clothes, caring counsel and a welcoming place to seek help grew into a vital community and regional resource where professionals and volunteers work together helping those in need work toward leading safe, productive and independent lives. Providing integrated services to its clients, and keeping all of its programs in one, easily accessible location continues to be a priority for Wellspring.
