Unity Somerville is a member ministry of Unity Worldwide Ministries founded in 1889 and based in Lee’s Summit, MO. Many have found Unity through its popular daily devotion booklet the Daily Word. Unity is “a spiritual movement that honors all paths to God, sees God as good and everywhere present, and affirms the spark of Divinity in all of us.” Betty Walker serves as Spiritual Leader of Unity Somerville leading 11 a.m. worship services on Sundays and various classes during the week. Unity is New Thought Christian, interpreting the Bible metaphysically rather than literally and they are firmly committed to diversity, opening their doors to all.
