History

The museum was founded in 1977 in nearby Cambridge, Massachusetts before eventually moving to Boston to the Garden, which has been home to Celtics and Bruins for twenty years. The museum's exhibits focus on the history of various sports in the Boston area, including the Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Marathon, Patriots, Revolution, boxing, college sports, and others.

Boston Bruins Alumni Association

The Boston Bruins are a National Hockey League team based in Boston, Mass. The team was founded in 1924. The Bruins home arena is the TD Banknorth Garden, which has a capacity of 17,565. Its uniform colors are black and gold, with a logo comprising of a black B in a black circle with gold spokes radiating from the center. The Bruins boast 5 Stanley Cup wins: 1929, 1939, 1941, 1970 and 1972. It was runner up in 1930, 1943, 1946, 1953, 1957, 1958, 1974, 1977, 1978, 1988 and 1990. Its one President s Trophy was earned in 1990. Bobby Orr, who came onboard in 1966, arguably became the greatest defenseman of all time.
