Ahavath Torah Congregation Synagogue, located on Central Street, just past the intersection with Pearl Street, serves 250 Jewish families from Stoughton and the surrounding communities of Bridgewater, Canton, Easton, Foxboro, Norton and Randolph. The family-oriented Jewish (Conservative) Congregation was founded in 1919 and has been located at the current building since 1970. Ahavath Torah houses the Rabbi Henry Gerson Religious School. Class times are Tue, from 4pm to 6pm and Sun, from 9am to noon. The number for the religious school is 781-344-8755. The Synagogue also has adult education classes, Jewish youth organizations and a sisterhood and a brotherhood. The current Rabbi is Jonathan Hausman.
