History
Our family owned farm has seen many generations. In 1919 when George I Stowe past away the farm was left to his oldest son Oscar. They maintained a dairy farm having over 60 cows to care for along with growing blue hubbard squash and cabbage. The vegetables were delivered by their horse and buckboard piled high at harvest time. When Oscar passed away the farm was passed down to his son George B Stowe. The cows were sold and the apple business was the main focus , having a large wholesale business kept them busy. Later a retail store on the farm was opened and pick your own apples started. It was operated by George until 2003 when he lost his leg at age 88. The next few years were hard on the family and farm. Amy his daughter , was left to learn how to maintain the farm along with her husband Dean. George taught them as best he could from a wheelchair. In 2008 he bacame more ill and in 2009 passed away at home with his family by his side. The farm is now owned by Amy Stowe.
