Simmons Homestead Inn offers guests a relaxing, friendly atmosphere in a rejuvenated 1800's homestead originally built by Lemuel Simmons. Each of the 14 guestrooms has private facilities. Each has a unique animal theme and appointments, rather than a number. A full breakfast is served and, in keeping with the informal air, it is best to expect the unexpected. By arrangement, guests may be shuttled in the Inn's red Bentley.
Adjacent to the Inn are two museums that offer free admission to guests. There is Toad Hall, a large collection of red, mostly British sports cars. Then there is arguably the largest collection of single malt whisky in the USA. For a reasonable clean up fee, the family dog may be accommodated. Cats are not allowed in the building.
