History
The Shady Glen is a landmark diner located in Turners Falls, MA. It was started by John Carey. He ran the business for over 40 years. The Glen went through a rough period with a few owners that didn't quite understand what their customers were used to or liked. As of May 1st, 2012, Charles Garbiel II took over the Glen. Charles was born and raised in Turners Falls and would eat here as a kid. Charles has been making small additions to the menu as well as doing some things never done at the Glen before. The Shady Glen now accepts Visa and Master Card. The Shady Glen also now serves beer and wine, a first for the glen. We welcome you to come in for some great food, and awesome atmosphere. It is very upbeat. You may even catch the owner bantering with some of the regulars. It's all in good fun and we have lots of laughs.
