History
While the parish was founded to serve local immigrant families, many of whom were Irish, in the early 20th Century, our doors today play host to a continued diversity of newcomers. Our Spanish-speaking community is made up of many families originating from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Peru, and other corners of the Mundo 21. Our English-speaking community benefits from a similar diversity, combining many long-standing families from South Boston with those young couples and families who are moving into the neighborhood.
