The David B. Richardson Insurance Agency was started in 1930 by George C. Dumas from his home in the historic Four Corners village of Hanover, Mass David B. Richardson joined his uncle in the agency and in 1956, he purchased the agency from George Dumas and placed it in his own name. In 1975, David was joined in the agency by his son, Stephen T. Richardson. When the agency was incorporated in 1980, Steve was elected vice president. He 1986, he was named president. David retired in 1988 and still lives in Hanover. Stephen is currently involved in many town activities, including: being a member of the Hanover Fire Department for 21 years ; past Boy Scout leader and current Committee Member of Troop 1 ; active poll worker for elections ; past master of Phoenix Lodge AF & AM ; member of Scottish Rite & the Shrine ; member of Hanover Historical Society, Notary Public.
