At Quincy Upper School teachers work closely with students to develop leadership skills, prepare them for college or the next step of their lives, and deliver an academically sound and challenging curriculum. With a philosophy to nurture and educate students as a whole, the school uses information, cultural, renewal and path-finding methods to promote this development.
Students can participate in sports, languages, art, music and theater, and get involved in an extensive after-school program that focuses on both academics and electives. With a strong commitment to individual students' health, teachers act as mentors and meet daily with small student groups to discuss personal issues and good decision making. Social workers are also available to work with students and their families.
Technology continues to be an important focus for Quincy Upper. The school is wireless, and the technology staff develops programs to further computer skills, integrate technology into the classroom and ensure daily Internet access for teachers and students.
