Looking for a peaceful place to walk your dog? Looking for a spot to play basketball? Halloran Park, named for World War II fallen hero John J. Halloran, is located at the corner of Pierce and Leach Streets, just past the hustle and bustle of downtown Stoughton. The park, which is beside the CAPP playground, is managed by the town's Recreation Department. It includes a basketball court, a paved walking or jogging path that encircles the park and an open grass field that could be used for any number of recreational sports or games. There are also picnic tables, benches and grills. Parking spaces are available on both Pierce and Leach streets.
