History
Miller Fence was started in 1967 by Joseph Miller under the name Joseph Miller Company. Joseph started the business for his two sons to take on after school and on weekends. He purchased an Anchor Fence (chain link) dealership which later won the business awards for distinguished dealer. Joseph passed away in 1974 which is when one of his sons, Joseph P. Miller, took the business over, creating Miller Fence Company. He would work out of his mother's living room trying to schedule estimates for himself to grow the business and install any job he sold with one laborer. What started out as the smallest fence company in the area, turned out to be one of the largest in Worcester County by 1981. Joe Miller Fence was growing exponentially and was then moved to Rt. 20, Worcester. Joseph P. decided to diversify and take on other fence product lines. He also started to manufacture his own cedar panels and became a dealer for CertainTeed's vinyl fence line, Bufftech (35+ years).
