The MetroWest Free Medical Program (MWFMP) provides free medical care to those who are uninsured or poorly insured in all MetroWest communities. At its locations in Framingham (First Parish) and Sudbury (Congregation Beth El), care is provided by volunteer health care professionals. These volunteers include physicians, nurses, interpreters, social workers and others providing care for chronic and acute illnesses. Founded in 2004 in Sudbury, it has more than 200 volunteers who serve more than 1,700 patients each year. It focuses on providing general medical and specialty care for patients' immediate health care needs. MWFMP connects patients with social services, a medical home and health insurance, and advocates for policy changes. For additional information, be sure to visit the website provided.
