History
The MSPMLC and it's historical collection has been housed in several locations over the years, including at State Police Headquarters, the State Police Academy, and at the former Grafton Barracks. After suffering a fire in 2017 we moved to a new 10,000 sf facility in South Grafton.
Specialties
The Massachusetts State Police Museum and Learning Center is a registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to collecting and preserving the history of the nation's first state police organization. Through our educational programs, interactive displays, mobile museum, research library and historical exhibits we strive to be a resource for our community. The Massachusetts State Police takes pride in their heritage and wish to preserve their history for future members of the Department as well as for the public. This will provide an opportunity for visitors to explore the agency's past as well as learning more about up-to-date law enforcement methods and current highway safety efforts. Over the years, many State Police related items and historic memorabilia have been recovered and restored. Many of these items are currently on display and are available to be viewed during a self guided tour.
