The Mass Migrant Education Program (MMEP) office in Wilmington is the Northcentral regional office for the federally-funded program. It provides a number of services for children of migrant workers and their families, such as English as a Second Language (ESL), interpreting services, family literacy programs and parent empowerment workshops, to name a few.
The office in Wilmington is home to a number of liaisons that help locate the migrant workers and offers them services. The program is operated by the EDCO Collaborative, a voluntary group of schools in the Greater Boston area. For more information on this program, visit the MMEP program website.
