Founded in 1994 as a partnership between Brigham and Women s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Partners HealthCare System provides advanced tertiary and community-based health care services to Boston-area residents, as well as national and international patients. Its founding medical centers and other member facilities offer services in fields such as cardiovascular care, neuroscience, orthopedics and arthritis, women s health, anesthesia, dermatology, surgery, geriatrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology and urology. The nonprofit system s hospitals are also major teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School. Partners HealthCare System has headquarters in Boston. Its other member facilities include McLean Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital and North Shore Medical Center.
