History
Greater Lowell Pediatrics takes pride in its tradition and history dating back to its founding in 1952 by Gilbert M. Cogan, MD, the first board certified pediatrician to establish a practice in Lowell. Eric Kaplan, MD one of Dr. Cogan's first patients, joined him in practice in 1977. Since then the group has grown to encompass two offices, seven pediatricians and four nurse practitioners. In 1991 our practice moved to its present office in the Leahey Medical Building adjacent to Saint Medical Center. In December 1999 our Westford office opened. All of our physicians are Board Certified in pediatrics and are Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Our Pediatric Nurse Practitioners are certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses.
