The Johnson Manufacturing Company was a historic mill complex located at 65 Brown Street in North Adams, Massachusetts. Established in 1850, the company produced textiles until 1937 when it was acquired by the Sprague Electric Company.
Following its textile production era, the site was repurposed for manufacturing gas masks during World War II and later specialized materials for electrical capacitors. Unfortunately, industrial toxic waste disposal led to the demolition of nearby houses, and the complex was ultimately shuttered in 2001 and demolished in 2007.
