Established more than 25 years ago, the Jewish Cemetery Association of Massachsusetts (JCAM) is a non-profit communal agency that manages, maintains and provides security for 100 of the 209 Jewish cemeteries in Massachusetts.
In addition, JCAM provides resources for people who need to bury their loved ones in a Massachusetts Jewish cemetery, and educates the public about end of life issues and Jewish burial practices. Its dedicated staff organizes educational programs, such as "Cemeteries Are For The Living" tours and helps arrange for the burial of sacred books such as bibles, siddurs and scrolls. The general public also has free accessto a comprehensive geneological database of every Jewish person buried in Greater Boston. Visitors can also find out information about Massachusetts Jewish cemeteries by going to the JCAM website.
