Hynes Playground

At Hynes Playground, neighborhood sport organizations practice and play games at the soccer/baseball fields, while toddlers enjoy the two age-appropriate playgrounds with water spouts to keep cool during the hot summer months. There is also a full court basketball hoop where adult pick up games are often played, as well as recreational league games. There is a second basketball court that is smaller, next to the main court. There is also an asphalt path around the entire park for walking or biking. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed.

Billings Field

Billings Field is one of the most recognized areas in West Roxbury. There are three tennis courts and one practice wall, three baseball/softball fields that may be lit at night and two full-court basketball courts. Age-appropriate playgrounds with bouncy surfaces provide opportunities for the little tykes to not be run over by the larger ones. Many out-of-towners know Billings Field as the starting point for the annual Corrib Classic 5K Road Race. The Billings Clubhouse is open during the day during warmer months and has bathrooms, water fountains and drink machines.
