Houghton's Pond is a 24-acre pond located at the Blue Hills Reservation. The location was formed about 10,000 years ago from melting glaciers and now offers a wide range of recreational amenities for the entire family to enjoy, including a playground, pavilion, visitors center and restrooms. Hiking, fishing and swimming are permitted. During the summer lifeguards are on staff. Picnic areas can be reserved but alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
