Dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history of this coastal community, the Historical Society of Santuit and Cotuit is housed in the 19th century homestead of Samuel B. Dottridge. The society houses several interesting displays of life in the 18th and 19th centuries including cooking implements, furniture and children's toys. There is a lovely historic garden and even a 1916 fire engine on display. Historians can research the archives of the organization by making an appointment.
