We are the Premier Producer of Heat Sealed Flexible Protective Bags, Covers & Liners for Industrial and Military Applications. W. Stuart Smith, Inc was founded in February of 1990. This new packaging, assembly and converting company evolved from the sale of it's owner's previous contract packaging business and has grown into an organization staffed by dedicated and experienced professionals. As you will see by navigating further through our site, we have been and continue to be an instrumental contributor in the design and manufacture of numerous top award winning packages and products. Over the years our emphasis has migrated away from packaging services and centered upon custom converting operations. In line with our drive for continuous growth and improvement, in April, 2000 WSSI began doing business as Heritage Packaging. We are looking into the new century intent upon continuing our tradition of highly responsive and quality conscious conversion of flexible and rigid packaging materials. Our new name represents our commitment to that tradition and to our goal of being known world wide as a manufacturer of high quality engineered protective packaging systems. Please explore our site fully and find out why we have a reputation for satisfying our customers. Heritage Packaging provides a wide variety of practical, cost effective solutions for demanding packaging requirements. Our products are designed and fabricated to provide protection from multiple hazards such as corrosion, temperature extremes and electro-static discharge. Package sizes and applications range from small barrier pouches for bearings, to cargo plane preservation covers. Heritage Packaging specializes in the fabrication of application specific protective packaging systems. The vast majority of our business deals with barrier packaging and barrier packaging materials. Barrier packaging materials are used to keep desirable elements in, and or undesirable elements out of a package. These materials are used for applications such as keeping food fresh, corrosion prevention, extending shelf life, and providing long term preservation for sensitive products and machinery. Advances in the laminating and co-extrusion processes have helped flexible materials meet nearly every preservation packaging requirement. When choosing a barrier material, characteristics such as puncture and tear resistance, service temperature range, moisture vapor/gas transmission rate, and final package closure method must be examined to ensure that the final package meets its set requirements. Our experienced staff will aid in the cost effective selection of an optimally performing material and package design for your product's unique protection requirements.
