HistoryIn 2002 some friends got the crazy idea of consulting with small businesses. The idea was born from a conversation about the digital divide that exists between small businesses and larger corporations, and how technology could even the playing field. This conversation turned into a project which gave rise to more projects and Boston ITS was born. And affordable professional services were offered to Boston's small to midsize businesses. In Dec of 2010 a conversation was had about the cost of computer repair and how it seemed that the cost was going up and the quality of work was going down. A meeting of the minds ensued, a project was discussed and on May 1st of 2011 the project culminated in BITS: Your neighborhood IT dept. A local computer shop dedicated to the community, in essence your neighborhood it dept.
