Framingham State College has been operational for more than 50 years. Located in Framingham, Mass., it enrolls more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. The college is approved by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Council for Professional Development, the American Dietetic Association, and National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. It offers a wide variety of student support services, such as academic advising, athletic and recreation center, on-campus placements, bookstore, disability services, financial aid, health insurance, technology-based library, and weather emergency programs. In addition to its core programs, the college provides special teacher preparation courses, including post-baccalaureate teacher licensure programs, Massachusetts Teacher Licensure, workshops, and literacy and communication, subject and foundations of reading tests.
