First Baptist is a Bible-centered Church. The congregation is multi-cultural, with five or six ethnic groups represented. "We take the time to learn about our differences, respect our differences, embrace our differences and celebrate our differences," says the Church's pastor, Dr. F. Lee Jones.
The First Baptist Church has a strong youth leadership team, which it supports with college scholarships. The Church trains the students in audio-visual technology to enhance their interests and skills.
