History
We began our operation showing our merchandise in a 16 ft by 16 ft old wooden fishing shack and mostly sold cute novelty pastel products that were basically discontinued samples from a wholesale company with the same owner as a store. The average price was $120 dollar. The average price today is approximately $350. Prices vary from $15 to $6500.As time went on we added two more fishing shack and now 33 years later we are in a 2500 square foot very successful gallery type store. Originally our customers were buying from us tourist kind of products. The customers over the years has changed to a quite sophisticated consumer and therefore a product line that is now 90% designed by the owner is the majority of sale. Over the years Freedman design has appeared in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Veranda Magazine and many other national publications.
