For nearly 20 years, Juan Tejeda and his family have offered Dominican fare in this clean, cheerful neighborhood restaurant. Red beans and rice and meat stews are the most popular orders, as are fried chicken, shrimp gumbo and fried green plantains. There's also a few out-of-the-ordinary offerings, such as orejita (pork ears) and cocido (cow feet soup). Prices are low but portions are huge, and the staff couldn't be friendlier.
