Cais da Bahia is a Brazilian cultural institution that trains students in Capoeria, a Brazilian martial art that combines dance and music. The institute was founded by Mestre Chocolate in Brazil, and was brought to Framingham by Mestre Tico Ticko. Students train to prepare the "roda," an encounter between two capoeristas. Additionally, students learn to play the instruments that accompany the rodas. The institute welcomes students of all ages and fitness levels.
