The site is listed on the National Historical Landmark registry and is comprised of fields, woods and wetlands. Many people may recall Brook Farm as the location for the experimental society of Transcendentalists in the 1840s. It is also the former training ground of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry of the Civil War, made famous from the movie "Glory."
Tours are offered through organizations including the West Roxbury Historical Society. The entrance is shared with The Gardens at Gethsemane cemetery.
