First opened in 1926, the John Hancock Hotel today exists as an affordable alternative to the expensive high-end hotels one commonly finds in Back Bay. The historic hotel became a conference center in 1971 and thrives today as an international meeting point for conventions, training programs, exhibitions and other special events. There are 64 non-smoking rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi service, continental breakfast, cable TV and a coffeemaker in each room. Situated near Copley Square and the Prudential Center, there is no shortage of places to eat or shop. The center is also convenient to several modes of public transportation, making it easy to get around town as needed.
