Blue Hill Observatory welcomes all visitors to Great Blue Hill in Milton, Massachusetts. At 635 feet it is the highest peak on the east coast from Boston to Miami, where you can still look out over the Atlantic Ocean. On a clear day Wachusett Mountain and the Worcester Hills are visible to the west and to the northwest the Monadnock region in New Hampshire over 60 miles away. With panoramic views in every direction Blue Hill Observatory is the perfect destination for family outings or school field trips. Each year the Observatory hosts over 10,000 people for guided tours and educational programs. Members may visit seven days a week, groups by appointment, and walk in guests are welcome every weekend. The Observatory is open thanks to the ongoing effort of volunteers, dedicated staff, members, and the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation. To ensure the continued success and mission of Blue Hill Observatory and Science Center we encourage you to donate or join us as a member.
