History
Alima's Purse was inspired by trips overseas over the past 10 years and many interactions with talented artisans struggling to break free from inequity, bondage or economic challenges. Alima lives in an orphanage in Pemba, Mozambique. She captured my heart and illustrated that there were a wide variety of skilled individuals just looking for a chance to show their wares. I have sought to highlight these talents and their unique fair trade products, both here in the US as well as abroad, by offering a distinct variety of gifts, jewelry and clothing. In addition to investing in these fair trade enterprises, all additional profits are donated to others in severe need in the US and abroad. At Alima's Purse, we strive to offer a shopping experience that takes you around the world while giving you the opportunity to make a purchase with a purpose.
