This classic barbershop has been in business since 1938, offering the men and boys of Somerville affordable, stylish haircuts for decades. Currently owned by Tony Alibrandi, the shop was originally opened by his father, Joe, more than 70 years ago. Tony followed in his father's footsteps, and has been cutting the hair of Somervillians for more than 50 years.
The charming shop is covered with sports and Somerville related memorabilia of years gone by—you'd be hard pressed to find a vacant space on Alibrandi's walls. Tony Alibrandi is devoted not only to his craft, but also to the local sports teams that decorate his shop, and has sponsored many in the city for years.
Sitting in one of Alibrandi's chairs not only means getting your ears lowered, but also having them filled with friendly banter and jokes. The shop promises fast and precise work, and clientele ranges from professional businessmen to children facing the scissors for the first time.
