Founded in 1960, Alberts-Langdon is one of the oldest Asian art dealers in the United States. The gallery features Oriental art in a variety of mediums and styles, including painting, ceramics, jade, furniture, bronze and textiles. The gallery has placed objects in well-known institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Harvard University Art Museums. In addition to sales and purchases, Alberts Langdon offers appraisal and authentication services for Asian art, employing methods such as carbon-dating to verify the authenticity of an object. As part of appraisal services, Alberts Langdon can also translate Chinese or Japanese calligraphy. Appointments are suggested.
