Located in Baltimore, William H. Welch Medical Library serves the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The library houses resources materials on health, the practice of medicine and related biomedical and allied health care disciplines. It also provides nursing information, research literature, methodological literature and reviews. Additionally, it offers authoritative analyses of areas influencing biomedicine and health care. The library's Welch Gateway provides access to a variety of electronic health-related files, including MEDLINE, EMBASE, Scopus, ISI Web of Science, UpToDate, MDConsult, CINAHL and PsycINFO. In addition, the library supports a number of electronic journals, accessing them remotely on the World Wide Web and providing more than 4,500 full-text titles. The William H. Welch Medical Library s collections contain more than 370,000 bound volumes, over 2000 audiovisual programs and subscribes to more than 3,000 journals.
