After her daughter was born with a neurological condition that affects her speech and motor skills, Kim Norris soon realized the important role toys play in a child's learning processes. Kim, a longtime resident of Bel Air, decided to open a toy store that would offer unique toys to inspire imaginative growth in children. Some of the services provided by Tiddlywinks include hands-on play, personal shopping and fund-raiser opportunities. A Tots & Dots class is offered Thursdays at 9:30 am to all kids age five and under at $5 per child, limited to the first 15 children. The parent-child interactive class is led by a former Harford County kindergarten teacher, is 45 minutes long and is designed for toddlers and preschoolers. Tiddlywinks hosts birthday parties for all ages and does all the work; all you have to do is provide the guests and refreshments. As a token of appreciation, teachers and therapists are entitled to discount shopping at Tiddlywinks.
