Millard Cooper Park
Millard Cooper Park was founded in 1983 as Sykesville's first town recreation facility. The area was named in memory of Millard Cooper in recognition of his "unselfish devotion to the town of Sykesville." Millard Cooper served Sykesville as a mechanic, a maintenance and sanitation supervisor and a policeman. The park covers three acres and includes a large playground area, two pavilions (one that can be rented) and picnic tables for events.
