Located just beside the school of the same name, Saint Hugh's Catholic Church is the epicenter of Catholic faith in Greenbelt. Founded in 1947, the church continues to grow through its several outreach programs, especially for youth; it offers a youth group, CCD (religious classes) and the Catholic Youth Organization, a sports organization for children of the parish.
Saint Hugh's is also active in the community, hosting meetings at the church for the Gabriel Network, which is a club that aides expectant mothers, and hosts monthly meetings for S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat) collecting canned goods and other non-perishables.
