Friends of the Library, Montgomery County (FOLMC) and its 16 chapters in 21 branches advocates and raises money for the entire library system. This is done through book sales, literary luncheons with authors, art shows and other events.
This money goes toward funding for children's library programs such as summer reading, teen summer reading and teen read week; new technologies such as streaming video; lively cultural celebrations; and much more.
The FOLMC is a nonprofit organization with offices on the third floor of the Rockville Memorial Library in Rockville Town Square, next to the Rockville Metro Station on the redline. The organization's Rockville chapter is located in the same building, in Suite 100.
