Queen Anne's County Parks and Recreation provides various recreational facilities, programs and services. It maintains several parks that offer a variety of amenities, such as playgrounds, concession stands, picnic areas, tennis courts and restrooms. The department also provides various special-use facilities that include a golf course, island trail and a beach. Queen Anne's County Parks and Recreation offers drawing and painting classes for children by utilizing various media, such as crayons, chalk pastels, watercolors, markers and colored pencils. Additionally, it organizes swimming classes that provide instructions in fundamental aquatic skills, stroke development and stroke refinement. The department also organizes field hockey, basketball and soccer tournaments. Its office is located in Centreville, Md.
