The Providence Center provides treatment and support services to adults and children affected with psychiatric illnesses, emotional problems and addictions. It maintains a staff of specialized behavior health care professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, vocational and rehabilitation counselors, case managers and residential advisors. The center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities. It provides intensive services for children with serious behavior and emotional problems to prevent psychiatric hospitalization and out-of-home placement. The center also offers individual and group therapy and family counseling services to adolescents who have mental health and substance abuse problems. In addition, it provides child day care staff training and consulting services. The Providence Center has been operational since 1969.
