Located in Upper Marlboro, Md., The Office of Finance is a division of Prince George s County Government. The office offers a range of financial services to several internal and external customers of the county. It controls all cash and investments of the county. The Office of Finance supports the legislative process that includes the composition and review of draft resolutions and bills related to financial issues. The office maintains system of accounts and records for all financial transactions. It also certifies availability of funds for payment of liabilities and obligations. The Office of Finance collects revenues and receipts, including property taxes. In addition, the Office of Finance reports the results of financial operations, facilitates the annual financial audit process, as well as administers a multi-organization risk management program.
