The much-anticipated Perry Hall Library opened its doors in March 2009. At more than twice the size of its 46-year-old predecessor, the 25,000-square-foot building offers drive-up window service, two group study rooms, a special area for teens, a play area for babies and toddlers, a large multimedia meeting room and a quiet reading room with a fireplace and hundreds of periodicals. There is no shortage of special events, classes and programs. On any given week, visitors can participate in multiple story times, cultural performances, Internet classes and book discussions. Be sure to register for events in advance as they fill up quickly.
