Established in 1953, Middletown Middle School is a national Blue Ribbon School that enrolls more than 900 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as art, physical education, theater arts, technology education, science, social studies, language arts and math. The school also provides enrichment classes in band, orchestra and chorus. Its campus includes a cafeteria, media center, office complex and classrooms. Middletown Middle School offers a variety of programs, including reading intervention, math counts and Socratic seminars. It also provides guidance counseling to students. Additionally, the school offers a range of extracurricular activities, including debate team, student government association, reading rally, and bowling, builders, newspaper, chess and ski clubs. Middletown Middle School is a part of Frederick County Public Schools and is located in Middletown, Md.
