Established in 1976, Maurice J. McDonough High School enrolls more than 1,200 students in grades nine through 12. The school s curriculum includes English, math, foreign languages, physical education, business studies, science and technology, family and consumer sciences, social studies, fine arts and music. It also offers various special education programs for students with special needs. The school organizes various student clubs and extracurricular activities, including chorus, computer bowl team, drama club, games club, history club, key club, National Honor Society, yearbook and debate team. It also serves a variety of food items in its cafeteria. Maurice J. McDonough High School, located in Pomfret, Md., is part of the Charles County Public Schools.
